This extremely difficult 12.689-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Tête de la Malcôte. The trail starts at the Col du Donon, a natural saddle located 0.09 kilometers from the beginning of the route. As you make your way through the hike, you'll pass by Le Velleda restaurant at 0.12 kilometers from the start, where you can refuel and enjoy some local cuisine.
Along the trail, you'll also come across the Source Sarre Rouge spring at 4.49 kilometers into the hike, offering a refreshing stop to rest and hydrate. Don't miss the Ancien Cimetière Militaire Allemand WW2 memorial and the Borne Frontière Alsace-Lorraine boundary stone at 4.08 kilometers from the start, providing historical insights into the area.
