As you start your journey, you will come across the stunning Col du Donon, located just 0.09 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This saddle offers breathtaking views and is a great place to take in the surrounding landscape.

About 0.12 kilometers from the start, you will find Le Velleda, a restaurant where you can refuel and relax before continuing your hike. Additionally, there are several parking areas along the trail, making it convenient for hikers to access the starting point.

As you make your way through the trail, you will encounter various points of interest such as information stops, natural springs like Source Sarre Rouge, and historical landmarks including the Ancien Cimetière Militaire Allemand WW2 and Borne Frontière Alsace-Lorraine. Midway through the hike, at 4.49 kilometers from the start, you will find Source de La Plaine, another natural spring where you can rest and replenish your water supply. Towards the end of the trail, at 6.21 kilometers from the start, you will reach Tête de la Malcôte, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
