This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with stunning natural sights and recreational spots. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the destination of Corazón de la Sandía, a peak that offers breathtaking views.
Starting off the hike, you will pass by parking areas at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way, you will come across a picnic site called Área Recreativa Rio Dílar, perfect for a rest and enjoying the surroundings, located about 0.32 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will spot the restaurant, biodilar Alayos, where you can grab a bite to eat and replenish your energy.
During the climb towards Corazón de la Sandía, at around 1.71 kilometers from the start, you will find a climbing spot for those seeking an extra adventure.
At the peak of Corazón de la Sandía, standing at 5.77 kilometers from the start, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the area. Don't forget to bring enough water and snacks, as this trail spans 11.54 kilometers with an elevation gain of 899 meters, making it a difficult hike.
