This hiking route is located in a beautiful area near Monte Castlus. The trail is 6.137 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 819 meters, making it a difficult hike. It is an out-and-back route, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back.

As you start your journey, you will pass by several parking areas, some of which may have a fee. Along the trail, you will find benches to rest and enjoy the scenic views. Approximately 2.35 kilometers into the hike, there is a via ferrata for the more adventurous hikers to explore.

At the 3.07 kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Monte Castlus, where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding area. Nearby, there is a memorial called Bars d'la Taiola, adding a historical touch to the hike.

Throughout the trail, there are drinking water stations to stay hydrated. Be sure to bring enough water and snacks for the journey, as well as checking the weather forecast before heading out.

As you make your way back, you can explore a cave entrance at Bars d'la Taiola before reaching the starting point. This hike offers a challenging but rewarding experience for hikers looking to immerse themselves in nature and history.
