This extremely difficult 20.756-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscape of the Mädelegabel area. The trail boasts an elevation gain of 1918 meters, offering breathtaking views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the Waltenbergerhaus, an alpine hut situated 7.08 kilometers from the starting point. This cozy accommodation provides a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing your journey.

As you make your way through the rugged terrain, you will encounter several points of interest. About 2.26 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a biergarten where you can enjoy a refreshing break. Further along, at 2.24 kilometers, Berggasthof Einödsbach welcomes you to savor some local cuisine.

For those looking to explore historic sites, Franz-Josef Winden memorial stands 2.32 kilometers into the hike, offering a glimpse into the area's rich heritage.

Additionally, make sure to visit the Alpe Eschbach restaurant at 0.49 kilometers and the Adler-Landhaus Birgsau at 0.02 kilometers for more dining options and a taste of the local flavors.
