Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Landgasthof Adler restaurant just 0.03 kilometers from the start. This is a good spot to fuel up before embarking on the challenging hike ahead.

As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. Midway through the hike, at 6.67 kilometers from the start, you will find the Kreuzspitze peak. While not directly on the trail, it offers a stunning viewpoint worth the extra distance.

Continuing on, at 7.43 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Balkenscharte saddle. This is a great location to take a break and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Throughout the hike, you will also encounter informative signposts and benches for resting. Remember to bring plenty of water, as this is a long and strenuous hike. It is also advisable to check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
