This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Niermont Sud, Sud Est. The trail is 7.133 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 249.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 16 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before heading onto the trail. Along the way, you'll pass by Niermont Est and Niermont Sud, Sud Est, where you can witness free flying takeoff sites. These spots are located around 3.35 to 3.57 kilometers from the start of the trail and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Further along the trail, you'll encounter Col de Serre, a picturesque saddle, and Calvaire, a historic wayside cross. Both of these points are located close to the beginning of the hike, allowing you to appreciate them early on in your journey.
At around the 3.3-kilometer mark, you'll reach Puy de Niermont, a peak that offers panoramic views of the area. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you.
As you make your way back, you can stop at the picnic site near the trail to relax and refuel before completing the hike.
