Located in the Niermont region, this challenging out-and-back hiking route covers a distance of 7.133 kilometers with an elevation gain of 249 meters, taking approximately 2 hours and 16 minutes to complete.
Starting off at the parking area, hikers will be surrounded by picturesque views of the natural landscape. Along the way, you will pass by the Niermont Est and Niermont Sud, Sud Est free flying sites, where you can witness paragliders taking off into the sky. These sites are located around 3.35 to 3.57 kilometers into the hike, offering a unique and thrilling spectacle.
Further along the trail, you will reach the Col de Serre, a scenic saddle point that provides a great spot to take a breather and admire the stunning surroundings. Not far from here, the Calvaire wayside cross adds a touch of historic charm to the journey.
As you continue on, you may come across the information points located at various distances from the trail, providing insights into the local area. The route also passes by the Puy de Niermont peak, standing tall at 3.3 kilometers into the hike, offering panoramic views of the landscape.
