This hiking route takes you through the beautiful mountainous region around Chavaroche. The 6.691-kilometer trail offers a moderate level of difficulty, with an elevation gain of 206 meters. It is estimated to take about 2 hours and 3 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you will come across the "Pas de Peyrol" saddle, about 110 meters away from the trail. Further along, you will reach the "Maison de site du Puy Mary," an information point located right on the trail. Make sure to stop by the "Chalet du Puy Mary" restaurant for a quick break before continuing on.
Midway through the hike, at around 3.35 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the "Chavaroche" peak. This is a great spot to take in panoramic views of the surrounding area. Another interesting point on the trail is the "Col de Redondet" takeoff site for free flying enthusiasts, approximately 1.6 kilometers from the start.
For those driving to the trailhead, there are parking options available at the beginning of the route.
