Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards the Rifugio Salto del Cane. Just a short distance from the start, you will come across another parking area before continuing on the trail. Approximately midway through the hike, you will reach the Rifugio Salto del Cane, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a break.

As you make your way back along the trail, be sure to keep an eye out for the Grotta di Monte Salto del Cane, a cave entrance located near the trail at around 2.2 kilometers from the starting point. This natural wonder is worth exploring if you have the time and energy.
