This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on a 14.844 km journey with an elevation gain of 588 meters, lasting approximately 4 hours and 54 minutes. The route is an out-and-back trail that leads to the stunning destination of Rifugio Forestale Casale Scarano (ruderi).
Starting out on the trail, hikers will come across a convenient parking area just 0.0 km from the beginning. This is a great spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the challenging trek ahead. As you continue on, about 2.18 km into the hike, you will encounter a refreshing fountain where you can take a break to hydrate and enjoy the surroundings.
Further along, at around 5.31 km from the start, you will find the Acqua del Carpino spring, providing another opportunity to refill your water supply and rest before pushing on towards the destination. Additionally, at a distance of 5.38 km from the start, there is another drinking water source, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the journey.
