This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Hohe Salve. The 6.533-kilometer trail offers a moderate level of difficulty, with an elevation gain of 459 meters. The estimated duration for the hike is 2 hours and 39 minutes.

As you start your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area just 4.5 meters from the trailhead. About 1.35 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Alpengasthof Rigi, a cozy restaurant where you can refuel and rest for a bit.

Continuing on, at around 1.1 kilometers from the start, you'll find Jausenstation Kälberalm, another great spot to grab a bite to eat. As you near the peak at 2.72 kilometers, you'll see the historic Gipfelkreuz Hohe Salve, a wayside cross that adds to the charm of the trail.

At the summit, 2.89 kilometers into the hike, stands Hohe Salve, a peak offering breathtaking panoramic views. Here, you can also visit Gipfelalm Hohe Salve, a restaurant serving up delicious meals. Additionally, don't miss out on the viewpoints along the way, such as the Drehterrasse at 2.84 kilometers and another one at 2.93 kilometers.
