This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Kaindlnadel. With a total distance of 14.487 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1215 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a challenging but rewarding experience.
Starting at the picturesque Hintersteiner See, you will embark on your journey with breathtaking views of the lake. Just a short distance from the trailhead, you will find the Parkplatz Seestüberl where you can park your car before starting the hike.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. About 2.71 kilometers into the hike, you will find the cozy Stöfflhütte, where you can stop for a meal and rest. Further along the trail at 2.99 kilometers, Walleralm offers another opportunity to refuel and enjoy the alpine surroundings.
Midway through the hike, at 5.49 kilometers, you will find Kaindlhütte, an alpine hut where you can take a break and perhaps spend the night if you're on a multi-day adventure. Remember to check their website for more information.
On the way back, you can stop at the Seecafe and Seestüberl for a well-deserved treat and enjoy the views before heading back to the trailhead. Along the route, there are also benches, information points, and drinking water sources to keep you comfortable and hydrated.
