This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding High Stones. The trail is 13.292 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 320 meters, making it extremely difficult. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.

Your journey will begin at the Fairholmes Visitor Centre, where you can gather information about the area before starting your hike. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by a parking area and a water source at around 0.47 kilometers from the start.

Midway through your hike, at approximately 6.65 kilometers from the start, you will reach the High Stones peak, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, you will also come across various points of interest, such as the Monument to the Dambusters and the Memorial to Tip.

It is important to note that there are several facilities along the trail, including picnic sites, benches, and artwork installations like the Mole and the Hedgehog. Make sure to stay hydrated by utilizing the drinking water source located at 0.28 kilometers from the start.
