This extremely difficult 12.403-kilometer hiking route will lead you to Margery Hill, a peak located in a stunning area with breathtaking views. The trail starts at the parking area, where you should make sure to have enough water and snacks for the challenging hike ahead.
As you make your way along the route, you will come across interesting points of interest. At 1.12 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source where you can take a break and refill your water bottle. Further along, at 1.86 kilometers, you'll encounter the remains of a WW2 Tank training target winch, a historic building that adds a unique touch to the hike.
Continuing on, at 5.71 kilometers, there is a Cairn directly on the trail, offering a nice spot to rest and take in the surroundings. Another Cairn can be found at 5.78 kilometers, slightly off the trail but worth the short detour for its informational value.
As you approach the 6.2-kilometer mark, you will reach the highlight of the hike - Margery Hill. The view from the peak is truly rewarding and makes the challenging journey worth it. Take some time to relax and enjoy the scenery before heading back the way you came.
