This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Lockenegg, offering a challenging but rewarding experience. The trail is an out-and-back type, totaling 9.79 kilometers with an elevation gain of 290 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours to complete.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by a convenient parking area, located just 0.13 kilometers from the start of the trail. About halfway into the hike, at 1.36 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water station where you can refill your supplies.

One of the highlights of the hike is Lockenegg peak, situated 4.9 kilometers from the start. This natural peak offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.

On your way back, at the 0.13-kilometer mark from the start, you will come across a restaurant called "die Drei," where you can relax and refuel after completing the challenging hike.

Remember to bring plenty of water, especially on hot days, as well as snacks to keep your energy levels up. It's also a good idea to check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
