Welcome to the hiking route on the Antiguo camino de Castilla! This route is a 5.66 km out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 203 meters, making it a moderate level hike. The estimated duration for this hike is around 1 hour and 49 minutes.
The trail starts at a convenient parking area, and as you begin your journey, you will come across the Fuente del Trabuquete, a natural spring located 2.66 km from the start. This is a perfect spot to refill your water bottle before continuing your hike.
As you progress further, at 2.6 km from the start, you will find the Charco del Trabuquete, a beautiful water body where you can take a refreshing break. Near this point, at a distance of 2.6 km, there is also the Charco del Calajomero, another picturesque water spot along the trail.
Midway through the hike, situated at approximately 2.73 km from the beginning, you will encounter a lovely waterfall known as Piscina Natural Charco de la Máquina. This natural wonder adds to the serenity of the surroundings.
Towards the end of the trail, around 2.83 km from the start, you will find Chiringuito El Canchal de La Puente, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before heading back.
