Welcome to the Antiguo Camino de Castilla hiking route! This moderate 5.45-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a beautiful trek through stunning natural landscapes with an elevation gain of 200 meters.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a natural pool called Charco del Trabuquete around 2.6 kilometers into the hike. This spot is perfect for a refreshing dip or a quick break to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Further along the trail, at approximately 0.92 kilometers in, you will come across another natural gem, Charco del Calajomero, offering a serene atmosphere for relaxation.
As you continue your journey, keep an eye out for some picturesque waterfalls scattered along the route. One of these waterfalls, located at around 2.6 kilometers into the hike, provides a stunning backdrop for a memorable photo opportunity.
If you find yourself in need of a snack or a refreshing drink, there is a restaurant called El Trabuquete approximately 0.05 kilometers from the trail. This is a great place to refuel before heading back.
