Welcome to the hiking route to Fuente de la Gallina along the Antiguo camino de Castilla. This trail offers a moderate challenge with a distance of 5.556 kilometers and an elevation gain of 210 meters.
The route starts at the parking area at the trailhead where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, you will come across a lovely picnic site located 1.1 kilometers from the start, perfect for a rest or a quick snack.
Continuing on, at around the 2.28-kilometer mark, you will reach the refreshing Fuente de la Umbría spring, where you can refill your water bottles and take a moment to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.78 kilometers, you will encounter the Collado del Mielcro saddle, offering picturesque views of the surrounding area.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, be sure to stop by the Lavadero Tradicional, an old traditional washhouse located 0.31 kilometers from the beginning.
