This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route in Valletta Alta covers a distance of 12.096 kilometers and features an elevation gain of 1359 meters. The total duration for this challenging hike is approximately 6 hours and 11 minutes.

Starting at the trailhead, hikers will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, there is a parking area for convenience. As you make your way along the path, about 6.05 kilometers from the start, you'll find multiple natural water sources for refilling your water bottles.

About 2.37 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter Rifugio Trivena, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Further along the trail, at 4.03 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the area.

As you progress, you'll pass by Bocca della Cunella, a notable saddle point located 5.63 kilometers from the start. Along the route, there are also informative signboards and drinking water facilities available at various points to enhance your hiking experience.
