This extremely difficult 10.975-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Bovški Gamsovec peak in the Bovec area. Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way.

At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Aljažev dom v Vratih alpine hut, located 0.45 kilometers from the start. This hut offers a cozy resting spot and a chance to refuel before continuing your journey. Further along, at 0.33 kilometers from the start, you will find the Šlajmerjev dom v Vratih alpine hut, another great place to take a break and enjoy the mountain views.

As you hike onward, you will reach Dovška Vratca saddle at 4.69 kilometers from the start, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Continuing on, you will eventually reach the highlight of the hike, Bovški Gamsovec peak, located 5.33 kilometers from the start.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter other points of interest such as Dovški Pihavec peak, Stenarska vratca saddle, and various information points along the trail. Additionally, make sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water point located 0.45 kilometers from the start.

With a total elevation gain of 1412 meters, this hike is challenging and recommended for experienced hikers. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking boots, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
