This extremely difficult 13.855 km out-and-back hiking route takes you to the breathtaking area around Motxope peak. The trail starts at a convenient parking area and begins with a gradual ascent through rugged terrain. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest.

About 0.66 km from the start, you will find a drinking water source for a quick refill. Further up, at around 1.87 km, you will come across the Fuente de los renacuajos, a picturesque water source perfect for a rest stop.

As you continue, at approximately 3.85 km into the hike, there is another drinking water station available. Additionally, at 3.86 km, there is a bar to grab a snack or beverage.

Around the halfway point, at 4.74 km, you will reach the Balsa de Iriberzelaia, followed by another water feature, the Balsa de Urdanegi, at 6.05 km. Closer to Motxope peak, at 6.93 km, you will encounter the stunning peak of Motxope itself, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Although challenging, this hike offers a rewarding experience for those willing to tackle its elevation gain of 306.0 meters. Make sure to bring enough water, snacks, and wear appropriate hiking gear. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
