The Stubaier Höhenweg is a challenging hiking route that spans approximately 14.4 kilometers and boasts an elevation gain of 1371 meters, making it an extremely difficult trek. The estimated duration for this hike is around 6 hours and 45 minutes, so be prepared for a full day of adventure.

Starting at the Parkplatz Ruetz Katarakt, you will embark on an out-and-back journey along the Stubaier Höhenweg. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty, with various points of interest scattered along the route.

About 0.75 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a historic wayside cross, a perfect spot to take in the peaceful surroundings. Further along the trail, at around 5.74 kilometers, you will find an informative tourism point to learn more about the area.

As you continue on, at a distance of 7.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach a refreshing water source, ideal for refilling your bottles and staying hydrated. Additionally, at 4.22 and 4.69 kilometers respectively, there are benches named Katharinas und Roberts Bänkla where you can take a break and enjoy a snack.

For those looking to grab a bite to eat, the Bsuchalm restaurant at 1.84 kilometers from the start and the Nürnberger Hütte alpine hut at 5.72 kilometers offer a great opportunity to refuel and recharge for the rest of the journey.

Towards the latter part of the hike, at 6.81 kilometers, you will encounter a beautiful saddle known as Niederl, providing a picturesque setting to rest and take in the panoramic views.

It is important to note that a key viewpoint, the Aussichtsplattform Langetaler Wasserfall, is situated at 0.52 kilometers from the start, offering a breathtaking vista of the Langetaler Waterfall.
