This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area of Mugarrien 200. You will start your journey at Col Arnostéguy, where you can park your car for free. As you begin your hike, you will pass by the information point at Arnoztegi, providing you with some interesting insights about the area.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across several historic boundary stones, such as Mugarrien 204, 203, and 202. These stones mark the boundaries of the area and add a touch of history to your hike. Along the way, you will also encounter the Redoute de Bentarte, an archaeological site that dates back to ancient times.
Midway through your hike, you will reach Bentarte peak and the Túmulo Bentarteko Lepoa archaeological site. Take a moment to appreciate the stunning views from the peak before heading towards Txangoaendi peak. Bidarraiko lepoa saddle is also on the way back.
This out-and-back route is relatively easy, with a total distance of 2.764 kilometers and an elevation gain of 68 meters. Make sure to bring enough water and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
