Located in the scenic area of Mount Ellen, this extremely difficult 17-kilometer out-and-back hiking route offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. With an elevation gain of 882 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart.

As you start your journey, you will come across parking facilities conveniently located at the trailhead. Make sure to prepare plenty of water and snacks for the long journey ahead. Along the trail, you will pass by Allyn's Lodge and Valley House Lodge, where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on.

Midway through the hike, you will encounter peaks such as Cutts Peak, Lincoln Peak, Nancy Hanks Peak, and the majestic Mount Ellen. These breathtaking viewpoints offer a perfect opportunity to rest and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness.
