This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Útulňa Andrejcová. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 11.328 kilometers and an elevation gain of 669 meters, making it a difficult hike with a duration of approximately 4 hours and 17 minutes.
As you start your hike, you will come across a shelter just 0.08 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surroundings before continuing on. Along the way, you will also encounter a saddle at the 4.96 kilometers mark, offering a unique natural viewpoint.
Around the midpoint of the hike, at 3.44 kilometers from the start, you will find the Kanapej wilderness hut, providing a cozy retreat amidst the wilderness. Further along the trail, at 5.11 kilometers from the start, there is a refreshing water source and the Útulňa Andrejcová alpine hut, where you can take a break and maybe even spend the night.
As you make your way back, be sure to stop by the historic wayside cross "Kríž u Andrejcovej" at 4.86 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of local history to your hike.
