This extremely difficult 13.237-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Geraer Hütte in the picturesque area. The trail offers a total elevation gain of 973.0 meters and a duration of approximately 5 hours and 29 minutes.

Starting your journey, you will come across the Touristenrast restaurant, where you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the Flittneralm alpine hut, providing a cozy retreat not far from the start.

Further along the path, at a distance of 1.32 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a beautiful waterfall, offering a refreshing sight and break from your climb. Continuing on, at around 4.8 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Ochsenalm alpine hut, a perfect spot to rest and recharge with its scenic surroundings.

As you push forward, at the 6.12-kilometer mark, you will find informative signposts providing insights into the area's history and landmarks. Finally, at approximately 6.62 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the main highlight - the Geraer Hütte. This alpine hut offers a welcoming atmosphere and stunning panoramic views, making it the perfect turnaround point for this challenging hike.
