The trail starts at the parking area near Taxi in the picturesque area of Holzgau. A notable attraction near the beginning of the trail is the Hängebrücke Holzgau, a hanging bridge located just 0.45 kilometers from the start. As you continue on your journey, you will come across various amenities such as shelters, benches, and information points strategically placed along the trail to provide hikers with necessary rest and information about the surroundings.

Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 4.83 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a refreshing spring and fountain where you can refill your water supply.
