This hiking route, known as Chemin des Chevaux, offers a moderate challenge with a distance of 2.311 kilometers and an elevation gain of 283 meters. The trail takes approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes to complete.

The route starts at the parking area near Hospice du Grand Saint-Bernard, a historic alpine hut located at the beginning of the trail. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by a cafe and a restaurant where you can grab a quick meal or snack before continuing on.

Around 0.35 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a water source for refilling your bottles. Further along the trail, at the 0.73-kilometer mark, there's another water source available.

At 1.14 kilometers, you'll reach Grande Chenalette, a picturesque peak offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Just a bit further, at 1.16 kilometers, you'll come across a viewpoint that provides a perfect spot to take a break and admire the scenery.

Midway through the hike, at 0.04 kilometers, you'll reach Col du Grand Saint-Bernard, a famous saddle point that marks a significant point on the trail. Near this location, there is also an information point providing interesting details about the area.
