This hiking route to Indian Nose offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. The trail spans a distance of 8.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 518 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the route, you will find parking areas for your convenience. As you make your way through the trail, you'll encounter the Parqueo Público and another parking area, offering easy access to the starting point.
Around 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across an Art Gallery, providing a cultural stop to admire local artwork. Further along the trail, at about 2.6 kilometers, you'll reach the Mirador Cerro Kaqasiiwaan viewpoint and a wayside cross, offering stunning views and a moment of reflection.
For sustenance, there are various restaurants and cafes scattered along the trail, with options like Restaurante Cristalinas, Restaurant Fé, Café El Artesano, and more. These dining spots are perfect for refueling and taking a break before continuing your journey.
As you approach the turnaround point, which is about 4 kilometers into the hike, you'll find the "camino para la nariz" viewpoint, providing a unique perspective of the surroundings. On the way back, you can stop by other viewpoints like Cerro Cristalino and Pico del loro to soak in the scenic vistas.
