This challenging hiking route will take you on an out-and-back adventure to the peak of Larratzu in the beautiful area surrounding Zubiria. The total distance of the hike is 8.244 kilometers with an elevation gain of 568 meters, making it a difficult trail that will test your endurance and strength.

As you start your journey from the Parking Nafar Mendi, make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as proper hiking gear. The initial part of the trail will lead you past Jauregizarrea, a historic manor that is located 0.53 kilometers from the start. Take some time to admire the architecture and learn about the rich history of this area before continuing on your way.

As you make your way towards the peak of Larratzu, you'll pass by Zubiria, another historic manor located 0.63 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the stunning surroundings before pushing onward.

Finally, after a challenging ascent, you'll reach the peak of Larratzu at the 4.12-kilometer mark. Enjoy the panoramic views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
