As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area designated for hikers located right at the start of the trail. It's always a good idea to ensure you have enough water before embarking on this 10.663-kilometer adventure, especially as you'll find an information point about 2.66 kilometers in. Make sure to check the weather forecast before you start your hike and pack accordingly.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At around 4.46 kilometers in, there is a water source not directly on the trail, followed by another water point at 4.37 kilometers. The Col de Peyreget, a saddle point, can be found at 4.71 kilometers into the hike, offering a picturesque spot to rest and take in the surrounding views. Further along, at 5.29 kilometers, you will find yet another water source for your convenience.
As you continue on your journey, you'll reach the Col de Soum de Pombie saddle point at 2.66 kilometers. A bit further ahead, at 5.33 kilometers, there is another water source available for hikers. Finally, at 3.1 kilometers and 3.63 kilometers, respectively, you'll encounter two more springs to replenish your water supply.
This route has an elevation gain of 759.0 meters and will take approximately 4 hours and 21 minutes to complete. It is classified as difficult due to its length and elevation, so be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding experience.
