The trail starts at a parking lot, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure. Make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before starting.

As you begin the hike, you'll come across a bench where you can take a quick rest before continuing on. Approximately 4.79 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the ruins of Kreata, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. Further along the trail, at around 1.95 kilometers from the start, there is an informational point that may provide interesting insights about the surroundings.

Around the halfway point, at 3.98 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Weitenbergalm restaurant, where you can take a break and replenish your energy with some sustenance. This spot also offers drinking water for hikers. Continuing on, you'll pass by the picturesque Weitenbergsee lake, located approximately 6.88 kilometers from the start. While not directly on the trail, this natural beauty is worth a small detour to admire its serene waters.

For the final stretch of the hike, you'll encounter the Kleiner Weitenbergsee, another beautiful water feature located approximately 6.88 kilometers from the start. This marks the end of the trail before you make your way back to the parking lot where you began.
