This hiking route takes you through the picturesque mountain area to the Edelrauthütte (Edelraut Hut) alpine hut. The trail covers a distance of 9.159 kilometers with an elevation gain of 670 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 47 minutes to complete.
Starting from the trailhead, you'll pass by the Eisbruggjoch (Ponte di Ghiaccio), a natural saddle located 4.55 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you'll also find several benches for resting and enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. One such bench is located 0.71 kilometers from the start, offering a great spot to take a break.
After hiking for about 4.58 kilometers, you'll reach the Enzianhütte (Rifugio Genziana) alpine hut, where you can take a rest and enjoy some local refreshments. The hut is situated just 16.464 meters from the trail, making it a convenient stop for hikers.
As you continue on the trail, you'll come across the Edelrauthütte, located at a distance of 19.188 meters from the path. This alpine hut serves as the turnaround point for this out-and-back route. Here, you can refuel before heading back to the starting point.
