About midway through the hike, at a distance of 3.21 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a wayside shrine, adding a touch of historic significance to your trek. Further along the trail, at 2.69 kilometers from the start, there is a waterfall that you can visit, located a bit off the main path.

One of the highlights of this hike is reaching the peak of Rauchkoppe, located 5.35 kilometers from the start. This peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area, making the challenging ascent well worth the effort.
