This hiking route will take you through the stunning landscapes of Mount Olympus National Park. With a total distance of approximately 16 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1664 meters, this trail is considered extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you embark on this out-and-back route, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue, you will pass by a restaurant called "Prionia 1100" where you can grab a meal or refreshments.
Approximately a quarter of the way into the hike, you will find a natural water source off the trail. Remember to refill your water bottles here to stay hydrated throughout the journey. Further along, at the 5.11-kilometer mark, you will encounter a drinking water station and a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the views.
Around the halfway point of the hike, there are two alpine huts available for accommodation – "Καταφύγιο Α' \"Σπήλιος Αγαπητός\"" and "Γιώσος Αποστολίδης". These huts offer resting spots and essential facilities for hikers.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will find more amenities such as a restaurant with specified opening hours, information points about the national park, benches for resting, and a campground for overnight stays. Additionally, there is a picturesque viewpoint near a waterfall, providing a perfect spot for capturing memorable moments.
