This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the majestic Mount Olympus, starting from the Prionia parking area. The total distance of the hike is 16.911 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1735 meters, so be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding adventure.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Prionia restaurant at the trailhead, where you can grab a bite to eat before hitting the trail. As you ascend, you will pass by the Prophet Elias peak at around 8.46 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Along the way, you will find several drinking water stations to stay hydrated, benches to rest and take in the scenery, as well as alpine huts like the "Καταφύγιο Α' \"Σπήλιος Αγαπητός\"" and "Γιώσος Αποστολίδης" for overnight stays or resting points.

About a quarter of the way into the hike, you will encounter a waterfall which adds a touch of serenity to the rugged terrain. Make sure to check out the Mount Olympus National Park information points to learn more about the area's flora and fauna.

The route is an out-and-back trail, so you will retrace your steps back to the starting point at Prionia parking.
