Welcome to Mittag Winterrodelbahn hiking route, a challenging trail that offers stunning views of the Allgäu Alps. This out-and-back trail spans 5.221 kilometers with an elevation gain of 503 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a serene Stausee (reservoir) just 0.07 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue, at around 2.04 kilometers, you'll come across helpful information points and benches for resting. The Bergstation Mittagbahn at 2.61 kilometers offers a great spot for a quick bite before heading towards Mittag peak, located at the same distance. From there, take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views from the viewpoint at 2.61 kilometers.
At the turnaround point, you can experience free flying at the designated takeoff site, before retracing your steps back to the starting point. Along the way, make sure to stop by the picture-perfect Bildkapelle at 0.38 kilometers and learn more about the area at the information points located at various points along the trail.
