This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning natural beauty of the area surrounding Destination 116. The trail covers a distance of 8.266 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 432 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey.
As you start your hike, you'll come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. It's advisable to park your vehicle here before beginning your adventure. Approximately 0.15 kilometers into the hike, you'll find Kemater Alm, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can grab a meal or rest for a while.
Continuing along the trail, at around 4.13 kilometers from the start, you'll come across a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles. Further along, at 1.89 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Adolf-Pichler-Hütte, another restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, you'll also encounter several information points and benches strategically placed along the trail. These provide valuable information about the area and offer spots to rest and take in the scenic views.
