This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Zillinköpfe peak in the beautiful area of Zillertal in Austria. The trail is an out-and-back type, spanning a distance of 5.95 kilometers with an elevation gain of 565 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 47 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. After about 2 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Hexenlackl, a picturesque water feature. This is a perfect spot to rest and take in the natural beauty surrounding you.
Continuing on, at around 2.98 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the saddle known as Hohes Törl, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Just a bit further along, at 2.88 kilometers, you will encounter Piccola Ferrata, a via ferrata for the more adventurous hikers looking for an extra challenge.
At 2.98 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the highlight of the trail, Zillinköpfe peak, offering panoramic views of the entire area. This is a great spot to take a break, have a snack, and capture some memorable photos.
On the way back, you can stop at Dolomitenhütte, a restaurant located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail, where you can refuel and rest before completing your journey.
