This extremely difficult 17.673-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the majestic Monte Faraut.
The hike begins at a convenient parking area and immediately immerses you in the natural beauty of the area. As you start your journey, you will come across the Fontana, a perfect spot to refill your water bottles. Along the way, you will encounter the La Colletta saddle, providing a picturesque resting point with stunning views.
Further along the trail, at about 6.9 kilometers from the start, you will find the charming Rifugio Carmagnola alpine hut, offering a cozy retreat for weary hikers. As you continue on, at 8.84 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Monte Faraut, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various points of interest, such as the Opera Vallo Alpino ruins and informative signposts providing insights into the area's history and natural features. Be sure to stop by the Buc Faraut peak and soak in the breathtaking vistas it offers.
