Welcome to the hiking route to Testa di Malacosta / Tête de Malacoste, an extremely difficult yet rewarding trail in the stunning alpine region.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on a 12.4 km out-and-back journey with an elevation gain of 1347 meters. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as this hike will take around 6 hours to complete.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a shelter known as Capanno, where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding views. Further along, you will encounter ruins of Opera Vallo Alpino, a historic site that adds a sense of mystery to the hike.
Midway through the trail, you will reach Fontana, a drinking water fountain where you can refill your water bottle. As you continue towards the destination, you will pass by informative signs providing insights into the area's history and natural features.
The highlight of the hike is reaching Testa di Malacosta / Tête de Malacoste, a peak offering panoramic views of the alpine landscape. Take your time to soak in the beauty of the surroundings before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
