This challenging 10-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you through the beautiful natural landscape of Sprone Maraoni. The trail has an elevation gain of 986 meters and is expected to take around 4 hours and 47 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Abbeveratoio water feature, located approximately 4.42 kilometers from the starting point. About 1.67 kilometers in, you will come across the Rifugio Santa Maria alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Halfway through the hike, at around 2.12 kilometers from the start, you will find the Madonnina viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the area. As you continue on, you will encounter the Monte Filaro peak (2.97 kilometers from the start), the Cima Vallecupa peak (3.4 kilometers from the start), and the Monte Ermo peak (4.42 kilometers from the start).
Along the way, you will also pass by interesting points such as the ruins of Ruderi Casetta Martorelli (3.2 kilometers from the start) and various information points providing insights into the region's history and natural features.
