This extremely difficult 9.359-kilometer out-and-back hike will take you to the stunning peak of Vrh Brda. Starting at the parking area, you'll begin your journey towards the alpine hut Planinsko učno središče (PUS) Bavšica, located just 0.29 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to take a quick break before continuing on.
As you hike further, you'll come across the Vrh Ruš peak, situated 4.31 kilometers from the start. Take in the breathtaking views from this vantage point before making your way to the highlight of the trail, Vrh Brda, located 4.68 kilometers into the hike. The summit offers panoramic views that are definitely worth the trek.
Along the way, you'll also pass by a refreshing spring named Vodni vir, perfect for refilling your water supply. Make sure to stay hydrated throughout the hike as the elevation gain is significant at 1434 meters.
Keep in mind that this trail is extremely difficult, so be prepared with proper hiking gear and ample water. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
