This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route covers a distance of 12.261 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1046 meters. The trail starts in a picturesque area with stunning natural beauty. Before embarking on this challenging adventure, hikers are advised to pack plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area at the trailhead, located just 0.0 kilometers from the starting point. Around 0.05 kilometers into the hike, you will find a picnic site where you can take a short break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at approximately 0.19 kilometers, there is a water source for refilling your water bottles.
As you continue onwards, at 2.62 kilometers from the start, you will find another picnic site off the trail. At the 6.13-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Vacún;Bacún Sur, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Approximately 2.7 kilometers from the starting point, there is a spring named Fuente de Sta Mª Iguacel, providing a refreshing stop on your way back.
