This hiking route takes you through a rugged and challenging terrain, offering stunning views and a rewarding experience for seasoned hikers. The trail spans a distance of approximately 12.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1046 meters, making it extremely difficult in terms of difficulty.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area conveniently located right at the start of the route. As you venture further, you will come across a picturesque picnic site just 0.05 kilometers from the beginning, where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Around 2.62 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter another picnic site slightly off the trail, offering a serene spot to rest and refuel. As you continue onwards, at the 6.13-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Vacún;Bacún Sur, where you can marvel at the panoramic views from the summit.
Along the way back, approximately 2.7 kilometers from the start, you will find the Fuente de Sta Mª Iguacel, a refreshing spring where you can replenish your water supply.
