This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Mala Črnelska špica. With a total distance of 24.785 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1381 meters, this hike will challenge even the most experienced hikers. It is recommended to set aside approximately 9 hours for this adventure.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Hotel Club Nevea, a wheelchair-accessible restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on your hike. Further along, there is a water source located just 0.09 kilometers from the trail, providing a convenient spot to refill your water bottles.
As you continue on, you will pass by Pian delle Lope, a natural spring approximately 2.98 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great opportunity to rest and hydrate before tackling the rest of the route. Along the way, you will also encounter various parking areas for those arriving by car.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Velika Črnelska špica / Cima Confine, located 12.31 kilometers from the start. The stunning views from this vantage point make all the effort worth it. Additionally, there are information points scattered along the trail providing insights into the area's history and geology.
As you approach the turnaround point at Mala Črnelska špica, make sure to take in the breathtaking scenery surrounding you. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before setting out on this challenging hike. Happy trails!
