This hiking route will take you on a 10.5-kilometer long journey through the beautiful area surrounding Ermita de Santa Marina on the Camino de Palangás. The route is of a difficult level, with an elevation gain of 351 meters, so be prepared for a challenging but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your trek with a visit to an information point just 0.1 kilometers from the start. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by a wilderness hut at 4.78 kilometers from the start, providing a great resting spot and a chance to connect with nature.
Further along the trail, at 4.39 kilometers from the start, you can take a detour to a peak for some breathtaking panoramic views. Additionally, at 4.92 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source where you can refill your supply, so be sure to bring enough water for the journey.
Halfway through the hike, at 2.09 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another wilderness hut, the Refugio del Corral de los Bueyes, offering another opportunity to rest and take in the surroundings. Near the end of the trail, at 4.26 kilometers from the start, you will come across a spring called Fuente del Niñero, providing fresh drinking water to replenish your energy.
As you make your way back to the starting point, be sure to check the weather forecast and bring enough water and snacks for the journey.
