This hike takes you through the stunning area of Sendero Zolles and Las Peñas de Riglos. The route is an out-and-back trail, spanning a total distance of 9.412 kilometers with an elevation gain of 421 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the start of the trail. Just a short distance from the trail, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area and its surroundings.
As you continue along the trail, approximately 3.3 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a natural spring known as Fuente del Puzo. This is a perfect spot to rest and replenish your water supply before continuing on your adventure.
Around the 4.71-kilometer mark, you will reach Collado Malacastro, a saddle point that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and admire the beauty of the area.
For those in need of water, there are two water points along the trail. One is located approximately 3.3 kilometers from the start, and the other is around 4.71 kilometers from the beginning of the hike.
It is important to note that while there are a few sustenance options along the trail, such as a pub at 0.1 kilometers from the start and a drinking water point at the same distance, it is advisable to carry enough water and snacks to sustain you throughout the hike.
