This challenging hiking route to Punta Estiba is a 9.831-kilometer out-and-back trail with a total elevation gain of 717 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 4 hours.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by Aparcamiento Hotel Palazio, a parking area, just 0.46 kilometers from the start. Shortly after, at 0.95 kilometers, you will come across the Ermita de Santa María, an attraction worth exploring. Continuing on, at 1.01 kilometers, you will find Cuello Arenas - Mondoto, an informative site where you can learn more about the area.

As you trek further, at 1.36 kilometers, there is another information point, also named Cuello Arenas - Mondoto. Additionally, at 1.56 kilometers, you will find Fuente, a spring where you can refill your water supply. Along the trail, you will also encounter Bar Hotel Palazio, a pub located right at the beginning of the hike.

Finally, the highlight of the hike is reaching Punta Estiba, a peak located 4.92 kilometers from the start point. Enjoy breathtaking views from the top before making your way back along the same trail.
