This extremely difficult hike to Schluchigrat spans a distance of 15.658 kilometers and involves an elevation gain of 1441 meters. The route is an out-and-back type, starting from a parking area at the beginning of the trail. As you begin your journey, you will come across an information point just 0.37 kilometers from the start, providing you with valuable insights about the area.

As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the Storegghorn peak, located 5.66 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the path, at 5.44 kilometers from the start, you will reach Storeggpass, a saddle that marks a significant point on the hike.

Midway through the route, at 7.83 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Schluchigrat peak and at 7.27 kilometers from the start, another peak named Schluchigrat for breathtaking views and a rewarding sense of accomplishment.
