This challenging hiking route to Alto de la Cuesta offers stunning views and historical landmarks along the way. The trail spans approximately 10.771 kilometers with an elevation gain of 110 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by a convenient parking area before reaching the ruins of Casilla Peón Caminero, located 1.69 kilometers from the start. These historic ruins provide a glimpse into the past and offer a unique photo opportunity.

Continuing on, at around 2.08 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the Tres Valles restaurant. This is a great spot to take a break, refuel, and enjoy a meal with scenic views of the surrounding area.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 5.39 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak known as Alto de la Cuesta. The panoramic views from this vantage point are truly breathtaking and worth the effort to reach.

As you make your way back, you'll have the option to explore the Iglesia de San Cristobal, located 2.08 kilometers from the start. This historic church is a notable attraction in the area, although it is slightly off the main trail.
