Welcome to the Maschental hiking route! This easy out-and-back trail offers a peaceful journey through beautiful scenery in the countryside.
You will start your hike at the Loas parking area, where you can leave your vehicle for a fee of 3€ per day. From here, the trail winds through lush greenery and meadows, offering occasional benches where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by several water features, providing a serene atmosphere to your hike. These water points are located at various distances from the trail, offering a refreshing sight and sound of flowing water.
Midway through your hike, you will come across the Kleiner Gamsstein peak, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. This is a perfect spot to take in the beauty of the area and snap some photos.
Further along the trail, you will encounter the Dr. Walter Waizer memorial, a historic site that adds a touch of local heritage to your hike. Nearby, there are also informative boards that provide insight into the area's history and natural features.
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach the Loassattel saddle, a unique geological formation that marks the turnaround point of the route. From here, you can retrace your steps back to the starting point at the parking area.
With a total distance of 3.246 kilometers and an elevation gain of 210 meters, this hike is suitable for all skill levels.
